Religion, a cancer to the world / La religión, el cancer del Sistema

Religion is one of the most despicable human flaws of all time.

Lots of people like to say money is the root of all evil, but not far behind it is organized religion. It’s a social virus. It spreads between human minds, embedding itself deep within the psyches of believers and protecting itself with a series of cognitive biases. Religion not only holds back the progress of the scientific world but can quickly lead to violence. Religion is one of the most perverted lies of all time, and it’s led to a host of issues from child abuse to jihadis, from Shiite/Sunni conflicts to the Crusades. There is no way this world, in the 21st century, should still be a puppet to horrible systems of belief like religion.

Logic over fantasy

Science supports its ideas and argues for more evidence before those ideas become accepted by the majority. Religion asks for the majority to follow blindly. Man kinds greatest skill is to question everything. Religion does not encourage this and consequently results in unfair treatment and persecution of people. May the search for truth always prevail over dogma and morals.

A mucha gente le gusta decir que el dinero es la raíz de todos los males, pero no muy atrás está la religión organizada. Es un virus social. Se propaga entre las mentes humanas, incrustándose profundamente en las psiques de los creyentes y protegiéndose con una serie de sesgos cognitivos. La religión no solo frena el progreso del mundo científico, sino que puede conducir rápidamente a la violencia. La religión es una de las mentiras más pervertidas de todos los tiempos, y ha llevado a una serie de problemas, desde el abuso infantil a los jihadistas, desde los conflictos chiítas / sunitas hasta las Cruzadas. No hay forma de que este mundo, en el siglo XXI, siga siendo un títere de sistemas horribles de creencias como la religión.
Lógica sobre fantasía

La ciencia apoya sus ideas y aboga por más pruebas antes de que esas ideas sean aceptadas por la mayoría. La religión pide que la mayoría siga ciegamente. La habilidad más grande del tipo humano es cuestionar todo. La religión no fomenta esto y, en consecuencia, da como resultado el trato injusto y la persecución de las personas. Que la búsqueda de la verdad siempre prevalezca sobre el dogma y la moral.
